Jessica Wallraff comes to Pilates by way of an international ballet career that saw her dance with the likes of Rudolf Nureyev and perform for the Queen of Copenhagen. A product of the Philadelphia suburbs, Jessie (as she’s known in the studio) began her dance studies at age six and within ten years had won prestigious honors at the Price de Lausanne and the USA International Ballet Competition. By 17 she was a member of the Royal Ballet of Flanders in Belgium and went on to be a featured performer in Le Ballet Theatre Francais de Nancy and The Hamburg Ballet in Germany.
Upon returning to the States, Jessica partnered with Maria Leone to run Bodyline Pilates, helping build the business and its clientele. But once her son was Benicio born, she opted to step back from management and devote all her energies to teaching pilates and being a mom. Jessie is a certified Balanced Bodies Pilates master instructor with over two decades of teaching experience. She is known for her infectious energy and attention to the individual student, tailoring each workout to the particular individual’s body and skill level. Which is why she boasts dozens of loyal long-term clients who swear by her results. Between her teaching sessions you will still see Jessie on a Reformer going through her own Pilates workout, because Jess knows that the best Pilates teacher is a skilled Pilates practitioner.
